Ursula Brandt is a teacher at a school in Berlin. In 1979
she started wind surfing
and sailing dinghys. In 1992 she switched to larger boats and
has enjoyed extensive sailing in the Baltic, Mediterranean and the
Atlantic while getting her sailing qualifications. For three years she
co-owned a classic wooden 15 meter sailing boat in the
Mediterranean.
Len Lewis is an Englishman and an engineer.
He started sailing dinghys in 1962 and then progressed to cruising
yachts. Since 1987 he holds a RYA Ocean Master certificate.
Len has sailed extensively in British waters and the Mediterranean
Sea. Since 1996 he has been taking charters out on the
Mediterranean, mainly along the Costa del Sol, the Balerics
and the North African coast.
Ursula and Len met in 1999 while they were sailing
on the Costa Del Sol and decided to join in the 11 meter
Endurance cutter rigged ketch named Wego.
